What we do

Services built around how compliance actually gets used.

Every engagement starts with a conversation about your business, not a template. Below is how each service typically runs — get in touch for a scope and fixed-fee quote.

01 · Consulting

AML/CTF Program Design

The foundation of AUSTRAC compliance: a risk assessment and a written program covering how you identify, manage, and monitor money laundering and terrorism financing risk.

We work directly with you — not a generic template — to produce a program that's actually usable day-to-day, not a document that sits on a shelf until the next audit.

  • Starter: Risk assessment plus a written AML/CTF program built from a proven framework, adapted to your services and client base.
  • Tailored: Everything in Starter, plus compliance officer onboarding, a customer due diligence workflow, and a implementation walkthrough with your team.
  • Full build: Everything in Tailored, plus staff training, suspicious matter reporting procedures, a reporting register, and 90 days of implementation support.
02 · Audit

Independent AML/CTF Review

Your AML/CTF program needs periodic independent evaluation — someone outside the program testing whether it works in practice, not just on paper.

We review documentation, test a sample of transactions and onboarding files, speak with your compliance officer and relevant staff, and deliver findings as a clear, prioritised report — in draft first, so nothing in the final version is a surprise.

  • Document review: A desk-based review of your program and policies against current AUSTRAC requirements, with a findings summary.
  • Review + testing: Everything above, plus operational testing — sampling real customer files and transaction records against your stated procedures.
  • Full independent evaluation: A formal, board-ready report covering program design and operating effectiveness, suitable where a statutory or AUSTRAC-requested review is needed.
03 · Outsourced Officer

Compliance Officer as a Service

AUSTRAC's own guidance confirms your AML/CTF compliance officer doesn't need to be an employee — provided they have real authority, resources and expertise to do the job. That's exactly what this service is built around.

We act as your named external compliance officer: reviewing CDD/EDD decisions, deciding on SMR and TTR lodgements, reporting to your management or board, and keeping your program current — all without the $80,000–110,000+ cost of a dedicated in-house hire. You retain legal responsibility for compliance at all times; we retain none of your customer relationship or vendor bias, since we don't sell AML/CTF software.

  • Sole practitioner / small firm: A single named officer covering day-to-day CDD/EDD decisions, SMR/TTR lodgement, and quarterly reporting.
  • Multi-office / franchise groups: One officer covering several related entities in a reporting group, sized to your structure.
  • Legal practices: Advisory and drafting support to your own internal, practice-appointed compliance officer — reflecting stricter law society positions on outsourcing this specific role.
04 · Audit

Audit & Assurance

Beyond AML/CTF, we support the broader assurance work that compliance-minded businesses and their advisers rely on.

This covers internal and compliance audits, SMSF audits, and other assurance engagements outside statutory financial-statement audit. If your business needs a Corporations Act financial report audit specifically, we'll be upfront about whether that sits with us or a referral partner — and point you the right way either way.

  • Internal & compliance audits: Testing internal controls, policies, and procedures against your own stated framework or an external standard.
  • SMSF audit: Annual independent audit of self-managed super funds, covering both financial and compliance components.
  • Ad hoc assurance: Scoped reviews for a specific risk, transaction, or stakeholder requirement — talk to us about what you need signed off.
05 · Training

Training & Board Briefings

A program is only as strong as the people running it. We train staff to actually recognise red flags, and brief boards on what oversight AUSTRAC expects of them.

Delivered in-person or remote, scaled to your team size — from a single practitioner to a full staff cohort.

  • Staff training: Practical, scenario-based sessions covering customer due diligence, red flags, and reporting obligations relevant to your sector.
  • Board & management briefing: A focused session on governance obligations, program oversight, and personal liability under the AML/CTF Act.
  • Annual refresher: A shorter yearly session to keep training current as guidance and your business evolve.

Still working out which service you need?

Most people are unsure whether they need program design, a review, or both. That's exactly what the first call is for.
